Philip Mawkes founded Mawkes Finance in February 2026 following 30 years working as an employee in the Finance sector. Philip initially specialised in vehicle finance at Ford Credit and then spent over 20 years with Medfin, where he built a strong client base of medical practitioners across a vast array of medical disciplines. From the outset, and over the years, he has gained the respect of many practitioners within the medical industry.

 

Philip continues to service the medical industry for all their finance needs and Medfin remains a key lender amongst his portfolio of finance providers. Medfin has a unique place in Philip’s heart and mind but he also respects that other lenders suit certain circumstances better and, as has consistently been the case throughout his career, he always has his clients’ best interests in mind when recommending finance options.

 

Philip is also excited to now be able to provide personal finance options to his medical professional clients as well as business and personal finance options for clients who sit outside the medical industry.
